The Orange Years, a documentary film about the Nickelodeon Network that tells the story of its humble origins deep into the SNICK years, announced a new Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign to help fund their project. To promote the project, directors Scott Barber and Adam Sweeney created a video that pays tribute to classic Nick shows such as Salute Your Shorts, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, The Adventures of Pete and Pete, and even got slimed in the process.
The Orange Years journeys behind the scenes of the “kids first” phenomenal programming to chronicle the unprecedented success of Nickelodeon, straight from the mouths of those who brought the classic shows to us as children. Filled with interviews from the actors, writers, animators, and creators from all your favorite golden age Nick shows, the film offers a new perspective on Nickelodeon, and highlights the work of visionary Geraldine Laybourne, who was largely responsible for the network's success.
The Orange Years has set a starting goal of raising $12,000 during the 31-day campaign. The Indiegogo campaign can be found at their Indiegogo page and will run through Thursday, November 3rd.
