The U.S. Open kicked off this week, and to celebrate we recruited Carlos from Beauty & Essex in NYC to make a twist on the Grey Goose Honey Deuce (the official cocktail of the U.S. Open). Carlos used cantaloupe balls to reference tennis balls, and a basil simple syrup to give the whole thing a green color. And to give a little nod to Drake, who has been caught locking lips with Serena Williams lately, we added a "kiss" of Canadian whiskey.
The Emerald Gimlet (U.S. Open Edition)
¼ oz simple syrup
¼ oz basil simple syrup
1 ½ oz Grey Goose vodka
¾ oz lime juice
½ oz Pendleton whiskey
Cantaloupe balls for garnish
