PALABRA # 4 - PONER
Significados:
1) To put / place something somewhere - Poner algo en un lugar
¿Dónde pusiste mi celular? No lo encuentro.
Where did you put my phone? I don't find it.


2) To add something - Ponerle / Agregarle algo a otra cosa, generalmente hablando de recetas de comida
El arroz sabe mejor si le pones sal.
Rice tastes better if you add salt.


3) To put on clothes - Ponerse ropa o cualquier otro accesorio
Me puse la chaqueta y también me puse los guantes porque estaba haciendo frío.
I put on the jacket and I also put on the gloves because it was cold.


4) To set the alarm - Poner la alarma
No olvides poner la alarma. Necesito despertarme a las 5 de la mañana.
Do not forget to set the alarm. I need to wake up at 5 am.


5) To get sad / happy / angry / nervous - Ponerse triste / feliz / bravo / nervioso
Ana se puso triste cuando se enteró de que había perdido el examen.
Ana got very sad when she found out that she had failed the exam.
