JOY CASTING – David O. Russell looks to bring back another frequent collaborator for his next film, Joy. Robert De Niro is currently in talks to join the biopic, starring Jennifer Lawrence as the “Miracle Mop” inventor Joy Mangano.
De Niro is currently filming the Nancy Meyers comedy The Intern with Anne Hathaway.
The upcoming film stars Lawrence as Joy Mangano, a single mom whose invention skyrockets her life and entrepreneurial career.
Joy is directed by Russell.
PLOT: A story based on the life of a struggling Long Island single mom who became one of the country’s most successful entrepreneurs.
