Gab Marcotti, Craig Burley, Steve Nicol and Dan Thomas of ESPN FC discuss what comes next for Chelsea after Maurizio Sarri’s appointment as manager of Juventus. Marcotti explains why he is not sure Sarri is the right fit for Juve before the panel turn their attention to Chelsea’s now-vacant managerial position. With Frank Lampard considered the clear favourite to replace Sarri, the panel discuss whether he is qualified for the job after only one season with Derby County, comparing his experience to Pep Guardiola when he was promoted at Barcelona and Zinedine Zidane when he was appointed at Real Madrid. Burley says hiring Lampard would be derided as “ridiculous” if he was not a Chelsea legend.
