It seems like we might have just found the solution to STDs. It's a pelvic condom, and it's a real thing. A company called Scroguard has officially invented the world's best mood breaker. So why would you want to use this diaper lookalike? Well, as you may or may not know, condoms only cover the penis, leaving you susceptible to sexually transmittable diseases such as genital warts, herpes, crabs, and a plethora of gross things we probably haven't discovered yet.
This pelvic condom claims to reduce the chances of contracting these STDs. So how does it work? It's basically a skin-tight pair of underwear made of latex. The company claims it feels just like skin. All you do is put it on, thread your jimmy through the front hole, put on a condom, then if you're date is done laughing, you can then have sex. If this seems like a lot of steps, good news -- you can actually wear the Scroguard under your clothes hours before using it, all you have to do is put on a rubber when the time comes.
The garment retails for $19.99, which is a bit steep for condom underwear -- but unlike condoms themselves, the Scroguard is reusable, although you might want to just throw them out for maximum protection. According to their website, throwing them out is perfectly fine because they're biodegradable. Keep in mind that the Scroguard isn't actually FDA-approved, so you might want to take a wait-and-see approach here. While you're waiting, just be safe. Using a condom will greatly reduce your chances of getting STIs.
One million new cases of herpes are reported every year, so maybe this pelvic condom isn't such a bad idea. But at what point does it stop? Can we ever really be totally protected? Probably not, but at least this might help curb the climbing rate of STIs, and that's OK.
What do you think? Would you try the Scroguard? Let us know in the comment section -- and play safe.
