Philosopher, academic and activist Dr. Cornel West was very clear in his support of whistleblower Edward Snowden when he was interviewed recently by George for a forthcoming broadcast.

West went so far as to compare Snowden's actions to those of abolitionist John Brown, who was hanged in 1859 because of his fight against slavery.
