Carlo Ancelotti, the Real Madrid coach, took time out during the club's pre-season to discuss their preparations for the 2021/22 campaign. Ancelotti expressed his pleasure with the commitment of long-serving Real Madrid players such as Dani Carvajal, Nacho, Marcelo, Lucas Vázquez and Isco, as well as his joy at working with the younger players too. The Italian also talked about new Real Madrid signing David Alaba, who he described as a player with "a lot of quality".
