Newcastle will host the finale of the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship for the next five years.
NSW Premier Mike Baird and Supercars Australia Chief Executive James Warburton made the announcement in Newcastle today.

The spectacular street race is expected to inject more than $57 million to the Hunter region over the next five years, and attract 81,000 visitors from around NSW.
Today's announcement was attended by Supercars drivers Chaz Mostert, Mark Winterbottom and James Courtney. The inaugural event will take place in November 2017.
