Wrap it up, Koala

Scientists have been helping Koalas clear up their chlamydia with ultra violet light. Why? Because koala bears are lousy with chlamydia. In some regions, 90% of the species population is infected. The UV helps with detection. Huh. Looks like the "no glove, no love" campaign failed in the bear community. Dirty little tree bears.

Nazi-pasta way, way too spicy

An Italian restaurant in Taiwan, called Rock Hill (I know, I know, but let's put a pin in that and move on) has come under serious heat for one of their signature dishes. It's called "Long Live Nazi Spaghetti"... yup. Because it has German sausage in it. If you're going to open an Italian restaurant in Taiwan, make sure you name it something Brittish sounding and then ensure you have an offensive German-political-hate-party inspired dish. Cuz if German's know anything it's how to make a nice Italian dinner... Also, maybe a WWII joke about Italian dishes with lots of German sausage in them... maybe.

The end of bacon is nigh!

The PEDv has resulted in 7 million pig casualties causing pork and bacon prices to skyrocket by 14 percent in the past year alone. It could mean the end of bacon which may just become too costly to sell. Or we could run out of pigs. Dear God. If ever there was a time for prayer and quiet reflection, this is it.
