ESPN FC’s Ross Dyer and Steve Nicol discuss the repercussions Marco Asensio's left knee injury will have on Real Madrid's summer transfer plans, after the Spanish midfielder suffered a torn ACL and damage on his meniscus during an International Champions Cup match vs. Arsenal. With Asensio set to be out for a long spell, Nicol believes the injury scuppers Real Madrid’s plans to sell him to build funds for targets like Manchester United’s Paul Pogba, and may also force them to have to keep someone else like Gareth Bale or Dani Ceballos. Nicol also feels that the impact the injury is devastating for Asensio, ahead of what would have been a make-or-break year for the 23-year-old.
