Will Davison and Jonathon Webb have won the 2016 Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 in a thrilling climax to Australia’s most famous motor race at Mount Panorama.
Davison clinched his second Bathurst title after holding off Kiwi Shane van Gisbergen in the final laps after a dramatic incident involving Jamie Whincup with 10 laps to go.
Whincup was hit with a 15 second penalty after a collision with Scott McLaughlin and Garth Tander which effectively ended the trio’s race.
