before Blade Runner was released in 1982, Ridley Scott had to convince theater owners to show his movie, when it was released. To my knowledge, this video was produced for ShoWest in Los Angeles (now CinemaCon in Las Vegas) in early 1982 and was later also shown at trade shows and fan gatherings like ComicCon.
