Africa is calling... and it does loudly, though we do not hear it. It does not call for consciousness or solidarity, but for understanding, understanding of its complex universe, as complex as any other, so far as it is considered irrational, magical, mysterious world... those adjectives that adorn what we do not kow. Generational conflicts, cultural misunderstandings, power struggles are produced, neither more or less than in the rest of the planet. But in a continent that has reached the internet while still tam tam is used, the great debate is the conflict between modernity and tradition. Deafness is the mother of racism. Africa calls for opening our ears.
